Wedding bouquets in different countries
From ancient times the flowers were important for weeding’s design. The bridal bouquet can be considered as a separate floristics branch.
All nations paid so much attention and showed a unique approach to the bridal bouquet. We came here to tell you about some of them.
Bouquets in the East.
In ancient times, in China wedding bouquets had red hues. The flowers of the salon, the dress, and the hairdressing accessories were red, too.
In Japan, brides didn’t have bouquets. Instead of a bouquet, they held a hand fan with floral illustrations. And fresh chrysanthemums are used for hairdressing.
In India, the Lotus flower is used for interior and bouquet design. Lotus can be combined with roses in a bouquet.
Flower bouquets in Europe.
In Spain, flowers must be orange, because they are the symbols of luck.
In Greece from long ago, bouquets were decorated with spices and fragrant herbs to frighten away evil spirits.
In the Scandinavian countries, fragrant herbs were used in the bouquet, but the meaning was a little different. This was done in order to bring success to their future spouses, the Vikings.
American traditions.
